Program Overview
A structured, supportive mentoring experience for clinical research professionals—designed to accelerate growth, confidence and connection within the EUCRIT community.

What is the Mentoring Program?
Our Mentoring Program connects clinical research professionals with colleagues seeking guidance and growth. It is designed to foster meaningful relationships that enhance learning, reflection and professional development.
Mentoring goes beyond sharing knowledge—it is about inspiring confidence, guiding reflective thinking and helping colleagues navigate the challenges of clinical research in a safe, collaborative environment.
Structure and Duration
The program runs for 6 months, providing continuity and space for meaningful engagement. Participants meet monthly for 60–90 minutes, with the flexibility to adjust frequency based on mutual availability. Over the course, mentor-mentee pairs typically complete 6 mentoring sessions, combining structured guidance with reflective conversation.
Enrollment and Matching:
- Participants complete a profile outlining experience, goals and areas of interest.
- Mentors and mentees are matched based on complementary skills and professional objectives.
- An orientation session clarifies expectations, roles and best practices.
Training and Certification:
- Mentor Course: Comprehensive online course covering mentoring principles, session management, ethics, communication and scenario handling. Completion includes assessment and community certification.
- Mentee Course: Short, practical course introducing mentees to effective engagement, goal setting and reflective practice.
How Mentoring Sessions Work
Each session follows a flexible but purposeful structure:
- Opening: Review progress and current focus areas
- Discussion: Explore challenges, experiences and insights
- Action Planning: Identify concrete next steps for the mentee
At the beginning of the program, mentor and mentee co-define clear development goals, ensuring each session drives measurable progress and growth.
