Cookies Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
- ABOUT THIS COOKIE POLICY
This Cookie Policy explains how PACI IKE, operating under the name EUCRIT (“EUCRIT”, “we”, “us” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use:
the EUCRIT learning platform;
EUCRIT course, membership and account pages; and
other online EUCRIT Services that refer to this Cookie Policy.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with the EUCRIT Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how EUCRIT processes personal data more generally, including information collected through cookies or similar technologies.
- WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files or similar pieces of information stored on or accessed from your computer, mobile phone, tablet or other device when you visit a website.
Cookies can perform different functions.
For example, they may:
keep you signed in;
maintain a secure session;
remember choices or preferences;
support checkout functionality;
remember your cookie choices;
help us understand how the website is used; or
support analytics, personalisation or marketing where you have agreed to those purposes.
Cookies may be:
Session cookies, which ordinarily expire when the relevant browser session ends; or
Persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a defined period or until deleted.
Cookies may also be:
First-party cookies, placed or accessed through the EUCRIT website or platform domain; or
Third-party cookies, placed or accessed by another service integrated with the EUCRIT website or platform.
- OUR APPROACH TO COOKIE CONSENT
EUCRIT distinguishes between cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the operation of a Service requested by you and those that are optional.
Strictly necessary cookies may be used without your consent where permitted by applicable law.
Non-essential cookies and similar technologies that require consent will not be activated before you have made the relevant choice through the EUCRIT cookie-consent mechanism.
Where consent is required:
you will be provided with information about the purposes for which the relevant cookies or trackers are used;
you may accept or reject non-essential cookies;
you may, where available, make choices by cookie category;
non-essential cookies will not be treated as accepted merely because you continue browsing, scroll through a page or do not make a selection; and
you may change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the Cookie Settings mechanism.
Refusing optional cookies will not prevent you from accessing EUCRIT merely because you declined those cookies, although particular optional functionality that depends on a specific technology may not operate.
Under Greek law, consent is not required for cookies that are technically necessary for transmission of a communication or for provision of an information-society service expressly requested by the user. Other cookies generally require prior informed consent.
- COOKIE CATEGORIES USED BY EUCRIT
The cookies and similar technologies actually used may depend on the page you visit, whether you are logged in, the EUCRIT Service you use and the choices you make in Cookie Settings.
EUCRIT may use the following categories.
4.1 STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES
Strictly necessary cookies enable core website and platform functionality.
They may be used for purposes such as:
maintaining an authenticated session;
allowing users to sign in securely;
protecting accounts and the website against security threats;
maintaining session information;
supporting checkout or payment functionality;
remembering privacy and cookie-consent choices;
load balancing;
fraud prevention; and
providing functionality expressly requested by the user.
These cookies cannot generally be disabled through the EUCRIT cookie preference mechanism where they are necessary for the requested Service.
You may be able to block them through your browser, but doing so may cause parts of the EUCRIT website or learning platform to stop functioning correctly.
Thinkific, which EUCRIT uses as part of its learning platform, uses session cookies to support functions including keeping signed-in users authenticated and maintaining their place in certain learning content.
4.2 FUNCTIONAL AND PREFERENCE COOKIES
Functional or preference cookies may enable enhanced functionality or remember choices you make.
Depending on their specific purpose, they may be used to remember matters such as:
language preferences;
display preferences;
selected settings; or
other user-requested choices.
Where a particular preference cookie is strictly necessary to provide a function expressly requested by you, it may not require consent.
Where it is not strictly necessary, it will be treated as optional and will be used only where the applicable consent requirements have been satisfied.
4.3 ANALYTICS AND PERFORMANCE COOKIES
Analytics and performance technologies help us understand how visitors use EUCRIT Services.
They may collect information such as:
pages visited;
navigation patterns;
general usage statistics;
technical performance;
errors;
course or website interaction patterns; and
aggregated audience information.
We may use this information to:
understand use of the Services;
measure website or platform performance;
identify technical problems;
improve usability; and
develop or improve EUCRIT Services.
Where these technologies require consent under applicable law, they will remain disabled unless and until you consent to the relevant category.
EUCRIT should not describe analytics cookies as “strictly necessary” merely because analytics are useful to the business.
4.4 PERSONALISATION COOKIES
If EUCRIT uses personalisation technologies, they may be used to tailor aspects of the website or content based on information about your previous interactions or preferences.
Personalisation cookies that are not strictly necessary will be used only where the applicable consent requirements have been satisfied.
EUCRIT does not treat acceptance of the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy as consent to optional personalisation cookies.
4.5 MARKETING AND ADVERTISING COOKIES
EUCRIT may use advertising or marketing cookies only where such technologies are actually implemented.
These technologies may, for example, be used to:
measure advertising campaigns;
understand whether a user interacted with an advertisement;
limit repeated presentation of an advertisement;
measure conversions; or
support targeted or retargeted advertising.
Marketing and advertising cookies are not necessary for the provision of the EUCRIT learning Service.
Where EUCRIT uses such technologies, they will not be activated before the required consent has been obtained.
Third-party advertising or marketing providers may process information under their own privacy policies.
If EUCRIT does not use advertising or retargeting technologies, this category will not be activated merely because it is described in this Policy.
4.6 THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND INTEGRATIONS
EUCRIT may use third-party services in connection with its website or learning platform, including services for:
learning management;
video;
webinars;
forms;
payments;
communications;
analytics; or
other technical functionality.
Third-party content or integrations may use cookies or similar technologies.
Where a third-party tracker is not strictly necessary and requires consent, it should not be activated before the relevant consent has been obtained.
Where appropriate, further information will be available through Cookie Settings and the third party's privacy or cookie documentation.
- THINKIFIC
EUCRIT uses Thinkific as part of its learning-management and course-delivery infrastructure.
Thinkific may use cookies necessary for functions such as:
account sessions;
user authentication;
learning-platform functionality; and
maintaining a user's place in certain lesson content.
Thinkific also supports integrations and functionality that may involve additional cookies or trackers depending on how a Thinkific site is configured.
EUCRIT is responsible for configuring its own use of the platform and any optional integrations in accordance with applicable cookie and data-protection requirements.
Thinkific's own cookie documentation may also apply to processing undertaken independently by Thinkific.
- FORMSPREE AND ONLINE FORMS
EUCRIT may use Formspree to process certain online forms, including the EUCRIT online withdrawal function.
Use of an online form does not itself mean that EUCRIT uses the information submitted for analytics or advertising.
Information submitted through a form is processed for the purposes described in the EUCRIT Privacy Policy and the relevant form notice.
Where Formspree or another form provider uses cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary for the requested form functionality, those technologies will be subject to the applicable consent requirements.
- COOKIE SETTINGS
You can manage your choices relating to optional cookies through the EUCRIT:
COOKIE SETTINGS
The Cookie Settings link should remain readily accessible from the EUCRIT website, for example through the website footer.
Through Cookie Settings, you should be able to:
review the categories of optional cookies in use;
accept optional cookies;
reject optional cookies;
change previous selections; and
withdraw consent.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
EUCRIT will seek to make rejection and withdrawal of optional cookies as straightforward as acceptance.
The Hellenic Data Protection Authority specifically requires the user to be able to reject optional trackers as easily as accepting them and to withdraw consent with comparable ease.
- CURRENT COOKIE INVENTORY
EUCRIT will maintain information about the cookies and similar technologies actually used by the website and learning platform.
For each relevant cookie or tracker, the information made available through this Policy or Cookie Settings should include, where applicable:
Cookie or tracker name
Provider
Category
Purpose
Whether it is first-party or third-party
Duration or expiry
Whether consent is required
The inventory must reflect the technologies actually deployed on the EUCRIT website.
EUCRIT does not assume that all cookies have the same duration.
The cookie inventory should be reviewed when:
a new service or integration is introduced;
analytics or advertising tools are changed;
the Thinkific configuration changes;
new embedded content is introduced; or
a material website change affects tracking technologies.
- DURATION OF COOKIES
The duration of a cookie depends on its specific function and configuration.
Some cookies operate only for the current browser session.
Others remain for a defined period in order to perform their intended function.
The applicable duration for each cookie or tracker should be identified in the current cookie inventory or Cookie Settings.
EUCRIT will not retain cookies or cookie-derived information for longer than reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to applicable law.
- HOW TO CHANGE OR WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT
You may change your choices at any time by selecting:
COOKIE SETTINGS
Changing your cookie preferences should update the use of optional cookies prospectively.
Where technically possible, withdrawal of consent will prevent further use of the relevant optional technologies.
You may also delete cookies that have already been stored on your device through your browser settings.
The fact that your browser is configured to accept cookies by default is not treated by EUCRIT as consent to optional cookies.
- BROWSER CONTROLS
Most browsers allow you to:
view stored cookies;
delete cookies;
block particular cookies;
block third-party cookies; or
block all cookies.
The process differs between browsers.
Please consult your browser's settings or help documentation for instructions.
Blocking all cookies through your browser may also block strictly necessary cookies and may therefore prevent functions such as:
signing in;
maintaining a learning session;
accessing certain course functionality;
using checkout; or
remembering your privacy choices.
Browser controls are therefore separate from the EUCRIT Cookie Settings mechanism.
- SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
This Policy also applies, where relevant, to technologies that perform functions similar to cookies, including technologies that store or access information on a user's device.
The applicable legal requirements depend on the technology and its purpose rather than simply on whether it is technically described as a “cookie”.
- PERSONAL DATA AND COOKIES
Some cookies and similar technologies may involve processing identifiers or other information that constitutes personal data.
Where personal data is processed, the EUCRIT Privacy Policy explains:
the purposes of processing;
the applicable lawful bases;
the recipients or categories of recipients;
international data transfers;
data-retention principles; and
your data-protection rights.
For optional cookies based on consent, withdrawal of cookie consent may also affect the associated personal-data processing.
- THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
EUCRIT Services may contain links to websites operated by third parties.
EUCRIT does not control cookies placed when you independently visit a third-party website.
The relevant third party's own cookie and privacy policies apply to its website.
- CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
EUCRIT may update this Cookie Policy to reflect:
changes in applicable law;
changes in regulatory guidance;
changes to the technologies used by EUCRIT;
new or removed service providers;
changes to cookies or trackers; or
changes to EUCRIT Services.
The “Last updated” date at the beginning of the Policy will be amended when the Policy changes.
Where a change requires a new consent under applicable law, EUCRIT will request that consent rather than treating continued use of the website as acceptance.
